How to prepare for the IELTS test?
The four different modules of the IELTS test require different test taking strategies. Here, we would like to make an analysis of test preparation methods for each module.
Reading Module: (Common for Academic and General Module)
There are three reading passages given in this module. The difficulty level of the passages increases from the first passage to the last. Thus, the first passage is easy; second, medium and the last one is hard from the language point of view.
You need to practice as many passages as possible before you attempt the IELTS test. You must prepare well and learn time management.
As the time given for reading task is 60 minutes you need to manage the given time in the following way: 15 minutes for the first passage; 20 minutes for second and 25 minutes for the last passage.
You may practice the reading comprehension material published by the Cambridge University exclusively for IELTS.

- Read the questions first; understand them.
- Identify central idea or keywords in the questions.
- Then, read the passage very fast.
